The Care Cup has long explored Indigenous heritage, preserving meaningful memories and collecting small yet powerful cultural fragments in everyday life. With humility and sincerity, the event continues to learn from Indigenous wisdom, embracing native languages as its core theme. Through baseball as a bridge, it fosters dialogue, promotes cultural exchange, and shapes a unique humanistic landscape. Now in its 31st edition, the Care Cup adopts the Amis phrase “Mala Kita” (Become Us) as this year’s theme, inviting baseball enthusiasts, Indigenous advocates, and supporters to join the Care Cup.
To reflect the theme, the design sought a unifying element across Taiwan’s 16 Indigenous groups. The “handshake,” a symbol of connection in harvest dances and social rituals, also serves as a universal gesture of goodwill and cooperation. Integrated into the visual design, it reinforces the theme’s essence through interwoven typography. The phrase “A dialogue extends an invitation, a handshake welcomes you to join” captures the spirit of “Mala Kita” (Become Us).
The color palette reflects the energy of baseball and the vibrant spirit of Indigenous culture, featuring bold magenta, sky blue, and white. To strengthen the Care Cup’s visual identity, the design maintains a playful, Indigenous-inspired aesthetic. Elements such as players in traditional attire, a symbolic eagle, a flying squirrel, cheering sticks, and musical notes create a distinctive visual narrative for this year’s event.
